Nature of certification is to confirm that something complies with a particular standard. When developing our standards, Russian Association Six Sigma carefully studied international experience of certification programs in continuous process improvement, particularly certification guidelines of ISO and ISQ, requirements of leading consulting companies (Accenture, BMGi, etc.) for Green Belts and Black Belts, certification program regarding various aspects of continuous process improvement deployment, in particular Lean Six Sigma Certification policies of the U.S. Department of Defence.
Today Association Six Sigma offers several certification programs:
- Certification of LSS professionals (Green Belts and Black Belts);
- Certification of companies (LSS deployments);
- Certification of LSS training courses;
- Certification of LSS improvement projects.
Certification of LSS Professionals — Green and Black Belts
Certificates are awarded to those professionals that completed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt training courses by Russian Association Six Sigma and its partners, whose courses correspond with Association’s requirements to the course structure, contents and quality.
To earn a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificate, specialist shall not only complete the training course, but also execute and successfully present his or her pilot improvement project.
As of today, over 500 students of Russian Association Six Sigma training programs were awarded certificates of Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belts by Russian Association Six Sigma.
Certification of Companies (Lean Six Sigma Deployments)
Many Russian companies that work with international partners already face the requirement of such partners to deploy and execute continuous process improvement programs. This is particularly important for manufacturers of automotive parts.
Russian Association Six Sigma offers services on certification of companies and their deployments. Certification takes place based on the quality audit of the deployment, conducted by our professionals. After successful passing of the audit (or after correction of those deficiencies that were revealed), Company receives a Certificate that their Lean Six Sigma deployment corresponds with the standards of the Russian Association Six Sigma.
Certification of Projects
Six Sigma is a relatively new technology for Russia, and it’s common that some companies are not ready to allocate significant resources (both financial and human) to execute a deployment program “from the scratch”, preferring to train 1 or 2 employees and allow them to complete several improvement projects before making a decision about further perspective of the Lean Six Sigma technology in the company.
Regardless of where your employees were trained, Russian Association Six Sigma can conduct assessment of Six Sigma project execution regarding correct application of the technology, results of the analysis and feasibility of the process that was improved as a result of project execution. Certificate of Six Sigma Project is a confirmation that Lean Six Sigma technology was used correctly, which allows company executives to make more balanced and informed decisions.
Certification of LSS Training Courses
Association researched various international Lean and Six Sigma training methods, as well as Russian experience in business education as a whole, peculiarities of information perception by Russian employees, cultural and managerial differences that affect the process of studying and further application of Six Sigma technology.
Currently we’re developing Lean Six Sigma Training Standards, which we’ll soon offer to consulting companies and training centres to certify that their training programs and courses are in compliance with the requirements of Russian Association Six Sigma regarding Lean Six Sigma professional training.
